Where to Find Eco-Friendly Outfits

Eco-friendly is the way of the future. With so many brands producing fast fashion and landfills filling up with people’s unwanted clothing, buying eco-friendly outfits helps the Earth and puts money into your pocket by saving on high-cost clothing. Places like Printful and other second-hand stores are doing their part in ensuring that our planet sustains itself. Eco-friendly clothing requires no new materials, energy, or toxic chemicals.

But, how do you find eco-friendly outfits?

We are here to give you a few ideas on starting your eco-friendly shopping journey.

  1. Thrift Stores

Thrift stores are a great way to find eco-friendly outfits since, in a thrift store, all the clothing has been passed down from a prior owner. Since each piece has been passed down, no new energy or material was created to make these pieces. And when you shop in thrift stores, you can find some cute pieces that match your style since there is such a wide variety of clothing. Plus, you will not have to worry about sacrificing quality. Most thrift stores will only accept certain types of gently used clothing, which means that the clothing you pick will be in great shape and at a great price, too.

  1. Garage Sells

Another way to save the planet and your wallet is shopping for new clothing at garage sales. Again, these pieces will have had a prior owner, making them eco-friendly because nothing needed to be done to make them. You can think of buying gently used clothing as the equivalent of buying a reusable grocery bag. You create less of a carbon footprint and look good doing it. Plus, you can find some good steals at a garage sale, depending on the person selling the clothes. You can find things dating back to the early or late ’90s, and you may even catch something from the 2000s. And these pieces will be at a great price, too.

  1. Online Swap Sites

Online swap sites are a great way to be eco-friendly and give something in return. With online swap sites, you can look at what people are selling and request that you swap clothing for something you are selling. You can kill two birds with one stone by getting rid of something you do not want anymore and getting something you will love to wear in return. Plus, you are saving the environment while at it and getting to rock a new style (to you)! Online swap sites are also a great alternative to just giving away your clothes because you get something in return. Although giving is a great feeling the feeling of a new shirt or pair of jeans is nice too!

If all of us do our part for the planet, we can help future generations have a cleaner and more sustainable life. Plus, we can look good while doing it because we are not comprising on style either! When we make a conscious effort, we create change for the better.
