6 Benefits of Using Deep Green Cleaning Product for Your House

green cleaningToxic chemicals are invading our planet, and too many of them are winding up in our homes. Harmful chemicals, such as ammonia and chlorine, are found in a vast number of popular cleaning products. Many of these popular cleaners contain endocrine disrupting compounds, or EDCs, which can obstruct the body’s natural hormone system and contribute to the development of cancer, cause birth defects, and lower fertility. In addition, exposure to toxic fumes can irritate the eyes, nose, and throat while ingesting toxic chemicals can lead to poisoning or death. It’s not necessary to have anything this harmful in your home when there are better, safer alternatives available. Here are the top benefits of eco friendly home cleaning:

1. Green cleaning makes your air cleaner

Using organic, non-toxic products to clean your home enhances the quality of your indoor air. With the absence of toxic fumes and harmful artificial air fresheners, you’re free to breathe without inhaling unnatural substances like phthalates. Green cleaning products aren’t harmful to humans and animals and won’t disrupt your endocrine system or cause cancer.

2. Green cleaning saves money

Even if you do a house deep cleaning every week, using organic homemade cleaning products will save you money. Many of the products you keep in your pantry can be used to effectively and safely clean your home. Vinegar, baking soda, some essential oils, and lemon can all get the job done better than a cabinet full of toxic chemicals.

3. Green cleaning helps you waste less

If you can learn how to make your own cleaning products, you’ll never need to buy a bottle of cleaner product again. Not only are the cleaners inside the bottles toxic, but the plastic bottles themselves are non-biodegradable. Our oceans are already littered with plastic, and even if when properly disposed of, plastic takes hundreds of years to decompose. Adding the preparation of organic cleaning products to your home cleaning checklist can save the planet from further pollution and degradation.

4. Green cleaning products are safe for everyone

You may not plan on eating something off of your chemically cleaned floor, but your pets might. Pets who frequently come into contact with these surfaces are at a greater risk. When your pet’s groom themselves, they ingest chemical residues that cling to their fur or skin and can potentially develop health problems. Babies and small children may also crawl and play on surfaces that have been cleaned with toxic chemicals. Eco friendly home cleaning eliminates this issue and makes it safe for pets, babies, and pregnant women.

5. You don’t need to be a chemist to green clean

Mixing certain chemical cleaning products can be disastrous. For example, accidentally combining ammonia and bleach can create a deadly gas or even an explosive liquid. Since most products aren’t named after their main ingredients, you won’t always know which use bleach and which use ammonia or acidic ingredients that negatively interact with bleach. You can bypass these worries altogether when you buy green cleaning products or learn how to make your own cleaning products from natural and harmless ingredients.

6. It’s good for the environment

Organic green cleaning helps you waste less, and it also helps you preserve the natural water supply. Many of the chemicals used in cleaning products go undetected in the filtration process and end up in rivers and lakes. Some of these chemicals, such as nitrogen and phosphorous, act as fertilizers and stimulate the overgrowth of aquatic plants. When these plants die, they deplete the water of oxygen, making it uninhabitable for fish and undrinkable for humans and animals. Using green products to do your house deep cleaning won’t produce these alarming effects.

Switching to organic green cleaning products is the best choice for yourself, your family, and the environment. Even if you don’t do most of your own cleaning, there are plenty of green options available for you. Many house cleaning services use 100% safe and eco friendly products to deep clean every part of the home and can be hired at an affordable price. Toxic chemicals are simply too dangerous to use in the home, and eliminating them is one of the first steps to creating healthier households and a cleaner planet.

  • I can say that when we want to clean our houses without using harmful chemicals, especially those who still have babies and those who have pets in the house, our kitchen is the best place to find those cleaning materials.
Just like what this post said, baking soda, vinegar, and lemons are very safe and effective cleaning agents we can readily have.

  • I agree with Vanessa, you can find organic and non harmful chemicals in the kitchen in that way we are helping ourselves to save money and at the same time saving the mother earth.
