Do you use soap? For your sake and everyone around you I hope you do. I use soap so I was very interested when I was contacted by Grandma’s Lye Soap to review three of their pure and natural soaps they sent to me: Grandma’s Lye Soap, Grandma’s Grime Away soap and Grandma’s Shampoo and Shave bar.
As it states on their website: “GRANDMA’S Lye Soap is a pure and natural soap unlike anything else on the market. There are no detergents or additives – it’s just pure, natural soap, more or less like folks used to make 100 years ago, and it’s all made here in the U.S.”
After using Grandma’s Lye Soap I will say that it really does leave your face and body squeaky clean and it really does soothe dry and itchy skin. I have dry and sometimes itchy hands and Grandma’s Lye Soap seems to moisture my skin. I really like that it has no detergents or fragrances. I’m not a fan of fragrances and detergents for many reasons. This a great soap for all over you. Grandma’s Lye Soap only has three ingredients: Food Grade Lard, Lye & Water.
Grandma’s Grime Away soap is made with pumice and grits to really clean your hands including removing odor from your hands. This is definitely the smoothest soap I’ve ever used with pumice. The ingredients are Food Grade Lard, Saponified oils of Palm, Coconut, Olive, Rice Bran & Castor, Corn Grits, Pumice & Essential Oils.
Grime Away not only cleans deep down dirty hands, but also removed unpleasant odors like fish, onion and garlic from hands in the kitchen. Grandma’s Grime Away is lard based and is fortified with organic olive oil. Pumice and corn grits gently remove grime and dead skin so they are also good for rough elbows, knees and feet. Grim Away has been tested and recommended by the National Home Gardening Club.
Grandma’s Shampoo/Shave Bar is perfect for your hair and to help in shaving. My hair felt squeaky clean with just using this bar and nothing else. No conditioner is needed. Also, with no detergent, dyes, or fragrances your hair doesn’t smell like something you may not like. Shaving with this bar is easy. Wet the skin, rub on the soap and lather up the soap. This prepared my skin for a smooth shave. You’re left with soft and smooth skin without a smell that is chemically created.
The ingredients of Grandma’s Shampoo/Shave Bar are Sodium Lardate, Saponified oils of Castor, Coconut, Palm and Rice Bran and Essential Oil.
I would highly recommend everyone of all ages to try at least one bar of Grandma’s Pure and Natural soaps. They have a large variety of soaps for every situation. I will definitely be continuing to enjoy using their eco-friendly products. All of Grandma’s Pure and Natural soaps are made in the USA.
I love the grime away soap. It cleans dirt and odor from hands extremely well. I love how well it takes away the smell of onion from my hands!
